Connect big goals to what you actually do each week. The OKRs sheet holds quarterly objectives with measurable key results, calculating progress from start, current and target values and flagging each key result as on track, watch or behind. The Weekly Plan sheet lays out tasks by day and time block, links them to key results, and compares estimated with actual hours. The Weekly Review sheet pulls in tasks completed and hours spent on OKR work for each week, alongside wins, lessons and next week's top three. Ideal for professionals, students and freelancers who want structure without a complicated app.
What's inside
- OKRs: Progress = (current - start) / (target - start), capped between 0% and 100%.
- Weekly Plan: Plan tasks by day. Link tasks to a KR ID so the weekly review counts OKR hours.
- Weekly Review: One row per week. Tasks and OKR hours fill in from the Weekly Plan using Week starting.
- Summary: key numbers calculated automatically from your data
- Drop-down lists, worked example rows and formulas you can rely on
How to use it
- Pick two or three objectives for the quarter. An objective is qualitative and motivating; it should fit on one line.
- Under each objective, add two to four key results with a number you can measure: a start value, a target value and the current value.
- Update Current value every week. Progress and Status calculate automatically (70% or more is On track, 40% to 69% is Watch, below 40% is Behind).
- Every Sunday or Monday, plan the week on the Weekly Plan sheet. Put your one to three Big rocks first and link each task to a KR ID where it moves a key result.
- Record actual hours and mark each task Yes, No or Moved at the end of the day.
- Add a row to the Weekly Review sheet for each week. Tasks done and OKR hours fill in automatically; write wins, lessons and next week's top three.
- At quarter end, score each key result, keep what worked, and set new OKRs.
