Designed and deployed Sales Order, Purchase Order and Asset Management agents on Dynamics 365 using the Model Context Protocol.
Three AI agents that let users ask Dynamics 365 about orders and assets in plain language.
The challenge
Users spent too long finding order and asset information across screens and reports, and simple status questions kept landing on experts' desks.
What I did
- Designed an agent suite on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) connected to Dynamics 365
- Built a Sales Order Agent, a Purchase Order Agent and an Asset Management Agent
- Kept access within Dynamics 365 security so agents only see what the user can see
The impact
- Reduced manual query resolution time
- A practical foundation for intelligent ERP automation
- A reusable pattern for adding more agents
